Clouds of Age

This EP was recorded in a little cabin by the woods which I built and spent many a wonderful year in. Designed and built by myself in 2013 through 2015, with help of family and friends (special thanks to my Dad here), this off-grid cabin became a home by the woods where these songs were born. This was a space to create freely, uninterrupted, and playfully. Building this is so far is the hardest thing I’ve done. I didn’t know how to put up a shelf prior to the build, so I had to learn on the job. I ended up gaining much more than I had intended. I learned to write in this place.

When the property the cabin sits on was to be put up for sale, I knew the best way to say goodbye was to capture the sounds of this cabin chapter and allow the recording to carry me through and to collect a few of the songs and the space for an audio memory book.

Here it is.

You can hear the crackling and ticking of the hot stove, the never-ending presence of the birds and the quietness of the space. I am so happy to have these unique sound memories recorded and am proud of the work done during recording to make these songs into what they are.
Thanks for listening.
